AQUARIUS Hammer House of Horror Playing Cards Deck

I found at good deal of joy in this Aquarius card deck, but I have a love of old movies and printing. If your a horror fan this card deck will give you something fun to play with that and could serve for a drinking game if you have a hammer collection. I would have liked the cards to be more divers in their films but that is a small issue.

I would give this a B-. These are fun but they could be better.

The Joke is often an interesting card. Why this one is the mummy I don't know. 
This card is okay.

AQUARIUS Hammer House of Horror Playing Cards - Ace of Spades

 

A movie we have already had in this deck of cards and not the coolest poster for it anyway. The Ace of Spades is normally the coolest card in the deck. Disappointing.

AQUARIUS Hammer House of Horror Playing Cards - King of Spades

 It looks like you took a Frankenstein poster and put a hot chick on it. Let's be clear, any movie can use more hot chicks but Frankenstein is and odd choice. 

Card is good.

AQUARIUS Hammer House of Horror Playing Cards - Queen of Spades

 Hammer's 1967 'Prehistoric Women' poster is more proof that click bate is not a new thing. This is right for a queen but not a queen of spades. 

Card is okay. 

AQUARIUS Hammer House of Horror Playing Cards - Jack of Spades

 Bloodthirsty Vampire sounds like my sister... or my step mother. (Shudder) so much evil in my world. Simple and functional this card is just okay.

The Devil's Bride!? This doesn't look anything like my sister. I guess you can't put her on a poster because it would make people sick.
 

I love this artwork but the devil looks surprised. 

AQUARIUS Hammer House of Horror Playing Cards - 9 of Spades

 The Lost Continent is a real acid trip of a film which is kind of like a Bermuda Triangle picture.

Good card. New film.

AQUARIUS Hammer House of Horror Playing Cards - 8 of Spades

Another name for 'The Quatermass Xperiment' The Creeping Unknown is about someone who went to space and got Fantastic Foured. The resulting creature feature is what one would expect.

I like this because it stands out. Good card.
 

AQUARIUS Hammer House of Horror Playing Cards - 7 of Spades

The 1967 film 'Quatermass and the Pit' is also known as 'Five Million Years to Earth'. This is one of the more interesting films in the Hammer store but I would need to really dedicate some time to Quatermass.

 This is another two color poster using a yellow that becomes orange when concentrated.

The Mummy looks like some kind of atomic monster in this poster. Well, the colors are right anyway. Cool card.

 The three of spades here is beautiful and haunting which is very vampire. Good card.

Well, this is a horror poster if I've seen one. I mean, it should be purple but the blood is cool.

 If the queen is a mummy so should be the king. That was kind of a thing back in the day I guess.

 You'd think the queen of hearts would be a movie with a female villein. Well, a mummy is queen of the house.

 Don't dare see it alone! says is poster for Hammer's Dracula. I'm so going to see this alone. The threshold for scary has changed a good deal in the last century. I mean, I've been in a room with my sister after she had Taco Bell.

Full color but not photograph. I have to ask myself why this was so popular with Hammer. Nice card.
